What we do

Everything your family needs, under one roof.

No shuffling between offices for the routine things. We handle day to day care, the occasional surprise, and the cosmetic work people usually save up for, in a practice that already knows your history.

Checkups & cleanings

A thorough exam, a proper clean, and a plain language rundown of what we saw. Digital X rays only when they actually tell us something new.

Fillings & repairs

Tooth colored fillings, crowns, and root canal treatment when it is the tooth saving option. We quote before we start, every time.

Children’s dentistry

First visits from around age one, at a pace kids can handle. Sealants, fluoride, and a lot of patience. Parents stay in the room the whole time.

Our practice

A small practice that stayed small on purpose.

Brightwater opened on Marrow Street in 2008 with one chair and a hand written appointment book. We have grown since, but not into a clinic where you meet a different dentist every visit.

Dr. Elena Moss and Dr. Amit Rao between them see most of the families in this neighbourhood, and the front desk knows who is nervous, who needs an early start before school, and whose insurance runs out in December.

What that adds up to is simple. You get told what is going on, what it costs, and what happens if you wait. Then you decide.

Your first visit

Ninety minutes, and nothing sprung on you.

New patient appointments run longer than a normal checkup, because the first one is mostly listening. Here is exactly how it goes.

1

Book in two minutes

Request a time online or call us. We confirm by text and send the forms ahead so you are not filling them in on a clipboard.

2

A full look, not a rush

Exam, images if they are needed, gum health check, and a conversation about anything that has been bothering you.

3

A plan in plain English

What needs doing now, what can wait, and what it costs after your insurance. On paper, in your hands, before anything starts.

4

Care at your pace

Book the work when it suits you and your budget. We send a reminder when your next cleaning is due and leave it at that.

If you have been putting it off

Nervous patients are our favourite patients.

Plenty of people walk through our door after five, ten, fifteen years away. Nobody gets a lecture about it. Tell us at booking and the whole visit changes shape.

  • A longer appointment, so nothing feels rushed
  • Every step explained before it happens, not during
  • An agreed stop signal you can use at any moment
  • Sedation available if that is what makes it possible
Reviews

What Fairhaven families say.

Sample reviews shown for layout purposes. On a live site these pull straight from your real Google and Facebook listings.

My son used to cry in the car park. Last visit he asked if he could go back early. I still do not entirely understand how they did that.

I cracked a molar on a Sunday and had a written quote in my hand by Monday lunchtime. No lecture about flossing either, which I appreciated.

Twelve years of going here. They have never once tried to sell me something I did not need, and I have tested that theory more than once.

Insurance & payment

The paperwork is our job, not yours.

We bill most plans directly, so in most cases you only pay whatever portion your plan does not cover. If you have no coverage at all, ask about our payment plan before you book.

  • Direct billing to most major insurers
  • Written estimate sent to your insurer before major work
  • Interest free payment plans on larger treatment
  • A reminder in November if your annual maximum is going unused
Book a visit

Request a time and we will confirm within one business day.

Tell us roughly when suits and what it is about. Someone from the front desk will text or call you back with the closest available slot. If it is urgent, please call instead.

Or just call us

Thanks. This is a demo form on a design mockup, so nothing was actually sent. On the live site this would land in the practice inbox within seconds.

Please do not send urgent medical details through this form. For a dental emergency, call the office directly.

Common questions

Answers before you have to ask.

Something not covered here? Call the office and ask. Nobody will try to book you in for an answer to a simple question.

Yes. We keep a set number of new patient slots open every week so the schedule never gets so full that regulars cannot get in. If our next opening is further out than you would like, ask to go on the cancellation list.

Call the office. We hold slots every day for urgent problems and if you reach us before 10:00 we can almost always see you that same day. After hours, the voicemail gives you the number for the on call dentist.

We bill most major plans directly, which means you pay only the portion your plan does not cover. Bring your card to the first visit, or send us a photo of it beforehand and we will check your coverage before you arrive.

You get a written estimate before anything starts, with your insurance portion already worked out. For larger treatment we send it to your insurer first so there are no surprises. Nothing gets done without you saying yes to the number.

Very much so, and you would not be the first. Tell us at booking. We will give you a longer appointment, explain each step before it happens, agree on a stop signal, and go at whatever pace you need. Sedation is available if that helps.

Around their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. The first couple of visits are short and mostly about getting comfortable in the chair. Parents stay in the room throughout.

It has probably been a while. That is completely fine.

No lectures, no judgement, and a plan you can take at your own pace. Book a first visit and we will start from wherever you are.
