Proposal
You have the best rating in Richmond. Almost nobody can see it.
A plan to rebuild the Veritas Stone website, clean up the listing, turn past clients into Google reviews, and put the company in front of the whole of Greater Vancouver rather than one postal code.
- 5.0Your Google rating, the highest of the eight shops on the Richmond map
- 24Your review count. The top three on that map hold 241, 107 and 96
- 7 of 8Your city pages carrying a broken heading and a broken description
- 22 moSince anything new was published on the site
Four things are holding the company back.
None of them are about the quality of the work. Everything below was checked directly on Google and on veritasstone.ca on 20 September 2026, and every number can be pulled up in front of you.
You are sixth on your own home map, and the five above you all have more reviews.
Searching granite countertops Richmond BC puts Veritas Stone in sixth place. Your 5.0 is the best rating on the page. Your review count is the thing holding the position down.
| Business | Rating | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| VE Stone Ltd | 4.8 | 96 |
| Canadian Flooring and Renovations | 4.7 | 107 |
| Debao Stone Inc. | 5.0 | 241 |
| Spectrum Stone Ltd. | 4.6 | 79 |
| Luminous Quartz Ltd. | 5.0 | 17 |
| Veritas Stone Inc. | 5.0 | 24 |
| Blue Star Marble Ltd | 4.6 | 79 |
| Beyond Stone Design | 5.0 | 70 |
Widen the search to countertop fabricator Vancouver BC and Veritas Stone does not appear at all. The shops that do carry 147, 129, 107 and 96 reviews.
Seven of your eight city pages have a broken heading. The one that works is the one city you compete in.
You already have pages for Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, North Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo. They run to roughly 1,750 words each, so somebody paid for real writing. Then the template broke. Every one of them opens with the heading About Veritas Stone preceded by a stray pipe character, and every one carries a description two to three times longer than Google will display, built from the same broken text.
| City page | Page heading | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Richmond | Custom Granite Countertops Richmond | 138 characters |
| Vancouver | About Veritas Stone | 293 characters |
| Burnaby | About Veritas Stone | 296 characters |
| Surrey | About Veritas Stone | 267 characters |
| Langley | About Veritas Stone | 275 characters |
| North Vancouver | About Veritas Stone | 330 characters |
| Victoria | About Veritas Stone | 308 characters |
| Nanaimo | About Veritas Stone | 321 characters |
Richmond is the only page built correctly, and Richmond is the only city where the company shows up. That is not proof on its own, but it is the first thing we would fix.
Search engines are not told you are a local business, and they are never told about the 5.0.
The site publishes almost no structured data. What is there describes a website and a corporation. There is nothing that says this is a stone fabricator in Richmond, nothing that lists the cities served, nothing that carries the opening hours, and nothing that carries the rating or a single review.
Two things follow from that. Your listing can never show star ratings in a search result, because there is no rating for Google to read. And when somebody asks an AI assistant who should fabricate my quartz counter in Burnaby, there is no clean, machine readable answer on your site for it to lift, so it quotes somebody else.
The company has a 5.0 from 24 reviews and the website mentions it nowhere. No rating, no stars, no link to the profile, no review widget.
Your address does not match itself.
Google has the workshop at 1851 Savage Rd #2170, Richmond BC V6V 3A9. Your own website says V6V 2R6 on the contact page, the about page and in the footer of every service page. One of them is wrong.
Local ranking leans heavily on the name, address and phone number being identical everywhere they appear. A mismatched postal code between a business listing and its own website is exactly the kind of inconsistency that quietly suppresses a listing, and it is a twenty minute fix once we know which one is correct.
Four pieces of work.
They depend on each other. The reviews give the listing authority, the listing feeds the map, the site catches what the map sends, and the structured data lets both Google and the AI assistants read it properly.
- 01A rebuild along the lines of the concept you have already seen, using your own project photographs.
- 02The rating, the review count and live reviews placed where a buyer sees them before they scroll.
- 03A redirect map so the granite fireplaces page, which is already the top organic result for granite fireplaces Vancouver, keeps everything it has earned. Nothing that ranks gets a new address without one.
- 04A quote request that asks for a photograph of the room, replacing the newsletter signup currently sitting on your best performing page.
- 05Speed and mobile work. The current homepage runs past ten thousand pixels tall with seventy two images.
- 01Settle the postal code and make the address, name and phone identical on the website, the Google profile, Facebook, Instagram and every directory we can reach.
- 02Finish the Google profile properly: services, service areas covering Greater Vancouver rather than Richmond alone, hours, products, and a description written for search.
- 03Photographs onto the profile on a schedule. Listings with recent photographs are handled better than dormant ones.
- 04Claim and align the listings that currently have no Veritas Stone entry at all, starting with the aggregators that already carry your Richmond competitors.
- 01Pull the past client list out of your records. Homeowners, and the designers and builders who send repeat work.
- 02A single catch up campaign to everybody you have worked with, written to sound like you rather than like software, sent by text or email with a direct link that opens straight onto the review box.
- 03A standing ask at handover, when the counter has just gone in and the client is happiest. This is the part that keeps working after the campaign ends.
- 04Every client gets asked, not just the ones we expect to be happy. Filtering who gets the request is against Google policy and risks the profile. Instead we watch for anything below five stars and get you answering it publicly within a day.
- 05Target is the seventy to one hundred band that the top of the Richmond map sits in. Getting there is a question of how many past clients you can reach.
- 01Rewrite the seven broken city pages, each one genuinely about that city rather than a find and replace of the last one.
- 02Add the Greater Vancouver cities that have no page yet: Coquitlam, New Westminster, Delta, West Vancouver, Port Moody, Maple Ridge and White Rock.
- 03Full local business structured data: the trade, the address, the hours, every city served, every service, and the rating and reviews so stars can appear in results.
- 04Question and answer blocks built from what buyers actually ask. What does a quartz counter cost per square foot in Vancouver. How long from template to install. Where will the seam go. Which stone survives a family kitchen. Written so an answer engine can lift a clean answer and credit you.
- 05Restart the writing. Forty seven posts were published across 2024 and nothing since. One of them already ranks first in Vancouver, so the approach was working when it stopped.
- 06Internal links from the blog into the city and service pages, which at the moment go nowhere useful.
A build, then a monthly.
The website is a one time piece of work. Reviews, listings and search are not, because they decay the moment somebody stops running them. We would rather be honest about that at the start than sell you a build and disappear.
The build
Everything that happens once. At the end of it the site is live, the listing is correct and consistent, the schema is in place, and the review campaign has gone out to your past clients.
- Website design, build and launch
- Redirect map and migration of the pages that rank
- Address and listing cleanup across every profile
- Google profile completed and expanded across Greater Vancouver
- Structured data and question and answer blocks
- Seven city pages rewritten, seven new ones added
- Past client review campaign, written and sent
The monthly
Everything that only works if somebody keeps doing it. Month to month, no long lock in, and you see a report you can actually read.
- Review requests at every handover, and responses written
- Photographs and posts onto the Google profile
- New writing aimed at the searches that bring work
- Ranking and call tracking across the Greater Vancouver cities
- Listing monitoring, because directories drift
- Site care, updates and backups
What we need, and what you get back.
What we need from you
- Which postal code is the correct one
- Access to the Google profile, the website and the domain
- Your past client list, in whatever shape it exists
- The year the company started. It appears nowhere, and every competitor states theirs
- An afternoon in the workshop with a camera. There is not one photograph of the shop, the saw or anybody who works there
- A logo file bigger than 132 pixels wide, if one exists anywhere
What we report on
- Review count and rating, month over month
- Map position for each target city, not just Richmond
- Calls and quote requests, and which page produced them
- Which searches you appear for, and where you moved
- What the AI assistants say when asked to recommend a fabricator
- What we did that month, in plain language
Half an hour, and we will show you all of it live.
Pricing is scoped per project, because the build depends on how many pages come across and the monthly depends on how hard you want to push Greater Vancouver. We will put a number on both once we have talked through what matters most to you.
Nothing in this document is a guess. We will pull up the map, the broken headings and the structured data in front of you and you can decide from there.
